de Blonay to work with Gibbs on Jupiter Financial Opps

Guy de Blonay will co-manage of the £1.4bn Jupiter Financial Opportunities fund alongside Philip Gibbs from the summer of 2010.

The former New Star Global Financials fund manager, who quit Henderson last month, will initially join Jupiter in January 2010 in an advisory capacity. Under the management of Gibbs, the Jupiter Financial Opportunities fund has returned 825% since its launch in June 1997, against a 39% rise for the FTSE Financials index.
