Banks slashing dividends might force income-seeking investors to turn to small caps, according to BlackRock. The group's UK Income fund manager Nick Mcleod-Clarke also points to large oil companies, while predicting UK dividends will rise next year. He says in looking beyond the headlines, more than six out of 10 companies in the FTSE 350 have increased their dividends, while around a quarter have cut them.
