BlackRock's Andrew Belshaw has left his role as investment head of sterling fixed income at the firm to join Western Asset Managament. Belshaw, who managed the £39m BlackRock Government Securities fund, will join the fixed income manager's London office in August as a senior member of the firm's investment management team. Paul Shuttleworth, co-lead manager of BlackRock's sterling business in London, has assumed the position of sole head and lead portfolio manager.
