Chancellor Alistair Darling last night expressed confidence Britain was on the road to economic recovery but added the financial sector could not return to 'business as usual'. Speaking at the annual Mansion House address, the Chancellor said while there were still many challenges to be faced he believed the measures put in place by the Government and the Bank of England were now supporting the financial system.
