Aberdeen Asset Management CEO Martin Gilbert has won Ernst & Young's Scotland entrepreneur of the year award. Gilbert was up against 30 others from around Scotland. He was described by the judges as a 'master entrepreneur' and praised for having grown the company's US operation despite the tough economic climate. He will now progress to the national final in October to compete for the title of Ernst & Young overall UK entrepreneur of the year.
