Managers lose top rating after performance slumps leaving just eight AAA UK All Cos funds
Two of the best-known UK equity managers have lost AAA Standard & Poor's ratings due to ongoing performance downturns. S&P has stripped New Star's Stephen Whittaker and Jupiter's Edward Bonham Carter of the top accolade, leaving just eight AAA funds in the 330-strong UK All Companies sector. Whittaker is continuing to hold firm on his now UK Growth portfolio, despite booking a 50% loss over the last year.
