Investors still struggling to recoup Isa fund losses

Investors who got into the UK market at the Isa sales peak in March 2000 need to see another rise of more than 30% to get them back to their original starting capital. March 2004 marks the fourth anniversary of the peak, during which investors put £2.4bn into Isas, some £711.4m of which went into the UK All Companies sector. The three-year bear market has dragged down most portfolios but despite the 30% rally in the All-Share since March 2003, investors still have a long way to go to recoup losses.
