Recently launched firm Matterley is bringing a concentrated UK vehicle to the market. Matterley Undervalued Returns was internally launched in mid-August, seeded with £3m of partners' money. Run by former New Star manager Henry Dixon, it will hold 40-50 stocks, 30% of which can be invested overseas. It sits in the UK All Companies sector. Dixon uses quants screening tools to analyse company reports. He looks for companies where the returns on capital are undervalued or trading at a material discount to replacement cost.
