An Isa service for exchange-traded funds (ETFs) is to be launched through the joint Merrill Lynch HSBC share dealing website later this year. No firm date has been set for the launch but the partnership's plan is to raise interest in ETFs, which are baskets of shares tracking indices but traded as a single equity. The service is available on the joint branded website of Merrill Lynch and HSBC at www.mlhsbc.co.uk. It currently offers access to 13 exchange-traded funds.
