Axa Framlington's Mark Tinker is celebrating a one-year anniversary on his Global Opportunities fund, outperforming his benchmark by around 3%. According to Axa, since taking over the portfolio in October 2007 to the end of August, Tinker has delivered -4.79% against the MCSI World index, which returned -6.36%. Tinker uses a top-down approach to identify areas with economic tailwinds with a focus on companies able to generate excess return on capital. The £123.1m growth portfolio is currently invested in 70 names. It is currently split UK Japan and Europe ex UK 19.1%, 10.1% and 18.3% ...
