SGAM manager looks at quality, valuation and timing to pick stocks for his go-anywhere portfolio

Sandhu, who also heads up Societe Generale's UK equity team, has been running the UK Special Opportunities fund since December 2002 and in that time has seen the portfolio grow to £163m in assets under management.
