Group reshuffles its UK portfolios after last week's departures of Luke Newman and Makis Kaketsis to hedge fund firm

F&C Asset has handed Hilary Aldridge her first fund following the departure of Luke Newman and Makis Kaketsis last week. Newman, who is responsible for the group's £64m Special Situations portfolio, and Kaketsis, who headed the £87m UK Dynamic, will join a hedge fund firm in the New Year. Both managers joined from DWS at the end of 2005, and have also jointly run F&C's first UK equity 130/30 product.
