Standard Life Investments to gain UK distributor status to offshore range and adds sterling-share classes

Standard Life Investments is applying for UK distributor status for its 18-strong Sicav range. Among the funds being brought to the UK are single-country funds focusing on China, India and Japan, a Global Reits vehicle and eight fixed-income offerings. The group also plans to add a sterling-share class to selected funds it thinks will appeal most to UK clients. The new share class will first be added to the China Equity fund, also the recently launched European Smaller Companies and India Equity funds.
