Woolwich Life this week launches a capital guaranteed bond linked to the FTSE 100 offering a return of up to 138% of the original investment after five years. Between £6,000 and £500,000 can be invested in the Guaranteed Equity Bond. On maturity, a return based on the growth of the FTSE 100 index is payable up to a maximum of 38% of the original investment. If the index has fallen from its starting point on maturity of the bond, the original investment is returned as a minimum. Investors may not get a full return of capital if the bond is cashed in early. At the end of the five year term...
