Smith & Williamson Investment Management has launched the Short-dated Corporate Bond fund, invested in investment grade sterling, euro and US dollar denominated issues with a duration of under six years. The fund is being run by the group's fixed interest team, with Ian Kenny as lead manager, assisted by Chris Lynas. Its remit is to buy investment grade bonds from a spread of well-known blue-chip companies and while sterling-based, to increase opportunities it will look to the US and Europe and hedge back to sterling.
