Isas have proved to be a popular investment although much confusion remains over the wrapper's rules and restrictions. According to a survey by IFA group Torquil Clark and UK-Invest.com, around 81% of investors have Isa accounts and maxi-Isas are proving to be more popular than mini-Isas. Around 53.6% had a maxi only while 21% had a mini only and just 6.7% had both. But the survey, which polled 386 people, also found that Isas are not tending to attract new investors as nearly 70% of the sample already had tax-free savings before they invested in Isas.
