AMP, the Australian financial services company, is to buy online personal finance company Interactive Investor for £52.1m. The purchase is intended to rapidly speed up the customer acquisition strategy of Ample, AMP's online wealth management and fund supermarket service, by providing immediate access to Interactive Investor's 1.2 million registered accounts.
