M&G is to merge its Blue Chip fund into UK Growth this summer, subject to shareholder approval. At present, the Blue Chip fund, run by George Tsinonis, invests in a portfolio solely consisting of large UK companies. The group said that having scope to invest in a broader portfolio including small and medium-sized stocks, as well as larger companies, would give the fund greater flexibility and increase its potential to deliver greater total returns over the long term. UK Growth, run by Simon Murphy, expected manager on the merged portfolio, currently invests about 60% of the portfolio ...
