Investment trust Advance UK has applauded the amendments to Eaglet Investment Trust's proposals, throwing out plans to convert the vehicle into a Director's Dealing Trust (DDT). Last November Advance UK, which owns a quarter of Eaglet's shares, welcomed the board's initial defeat in trying to convert the vehicle into a DDT when the proposals were rejected at an EGM. Progressive, manager of Advance UK, also suggested the board ask the shareholders how they wish to proceed, suggesting cash be returned to them.
