The IMA has placed a 12-month ban on funds moving from the Absolute Return sector, unless there is a mandate change. Investment Week understands several groups have recently tried to move funds out of the sector, popular with investors over the summer, as they have failed to meet the performance criteria. The peer group was launched in April for funds managed with the aim of producing above zero returns in all market conditions.
