Top UK equity manager Mark Niznik has left Standard Life Investments to join Artemis as a small-cap specialist. Niznik is currently on gardening leave after resigning two weeks ago and is expected to join Artemis in around six months. He has given up the £369m UK Opportunities fund, which Harry Nimmo is running until a replacement is appointed. Nimmo has managed the firm's UK Smaller Companies fund since it launched in 1997.
