Tilney Investment Management is to market the British Real Estate fund from August as a more aggressive version of its existing £370m Glanmore Property portfolio. British Real Estate is the new name for the £22m Acre Property fund, which had only been marketed internally since its launch in June 2001. British Real Estate will be more highly geared, at two-to-one debt to equity, than the Glanmore fund and will also look to improve the quality of 50% of its fully-tenanted UK commercial property portfolio, compared with 30% for Glanmore.
