Investec has added two Middle Eastern and African vehicles to its Frontiers range as the group’s existing Africa fund approaches capacity. The Africa & Middle East (AME) and Middle East and North Africa (MENA) funds launched on 1 April. Both are run by the Cape Town-based Roelof Horne and recent hire from JPMorgan Amr Seif, focusing on the Africa and Middle East holdings respectively. While the AME fund will look across both regions, the MENA vehicle will only invest in North African countries, as well as the Middle East.
