Fidelity is launching an Emerging Asia vehicle this month. The offshore vehicle will have UK distributor status but a dollar share class only. It will be run by Teera Chanpongsang, holding 80 to 120 stocks, and focusing mainly in China, India and ASEAN countries ex-Singapore. However it can invest up to 30% of the fund in frontier markets as well. The Hong Kong based manager said the emerging Asia region odder higher returns than developed regions.
