Aegon Scottish Equitable has launched a Bare Discounted Gift Trust that allows investors to make a gift that will be exempt from IHT after seven years. It also allows access to the trust via predetermined regular withdrawals from the underlying bond. Margaret Jago, Technical Manager for AEGON Scottish Equitable said: “This trust allows for greater flexibility and control for the customer to decide who benefits from their assets and when.” It brings the trust range available from Aegon Scottish Equitable to six.
