Six funds from the IMA UK Smaller Companies sector were among the top 20 performers between 6 April 2009 and 13 April 2009, according to Morningstar. Of these, the £4.57m Close Beacon Investment fund generated 6.83% during the week, also returning 27.52% over the month from 16 March and 13 April. Meanwhile, the Gartmore UK & Irish Smaller Companies fund returned 5.39% on the week and 13.51% for the month.
