Hedge funds saw a positive first quarter, taking advantage of March's rally in equities and global credit markets. Morningstar 1000 Hedge Fund Index rose 2.1% in March, according to preliminary results, while the currency-hedged Morningstar MSCI Asset-Weighted Hedge Fund Composite Index grew 0.1%.
