Schroders is merging Richard Buxton’s UK Large Cap fund into his UK Alpha Plus vehicle. The move will take place by the end of the year as the group realised the latter was gaining more interest from investors. Robin Stoakley, managing director of the retail business, said: “The UK Large Cap fund was launched a number of years ago to offer investors pure exposure to UK large-cap equities. “It has done its job by always owning over 90% of the FTSE 100 but pretty much all clients who have wanted exposure to Buxton and large-caps have been investing in the UK Alpha Plus fund so it made se...
