Chuo Mitsui International is taking further steps to move into the UK retail fund market by appointing Canaccord Adams to source potential acquisitions. In February, the Japanese investment management business said it was seeking to acquire or go into partnership with an existing UK asset management company, with a view to launching mirrors of its existing Japan based products. Toronto-based broker Cannacord Adams is charged with identifying buying and merging opportunities.
