Prudential has named Peter Bloxham as its policyholder advocate to investigate reattributing the inherited estate held in its with-profits fund. Bloxham recently retired as a partner at international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. To be eligible for a payment in relation to the proposed reattribution, policyholders must have held an eligible scheme on 14 March 2007. Meanwhile, the Pru has also reached an agreement in principle to acquire Equitable Life’s portfolio of in-force with-profits annuities.
