Standard Life Investments has announced record sales figures for last year and an 8.5% increase in funds under management to £143bn. Net sales increased by 23%, up to £7.9bn from £6.4bn the previous year, and the group reported its alternative asset classes had seen particularly strong inflows, with private equity investment increasing 31% to £464m in 2007.
