Thames River’s veteran credit manager Michael Mabbutt is to retire from the industry next year. Mabbutt is leaving after 20 years in the fund management business at the end of the first quarter in 2008 when he has finished a project that will enhance the team’s dealing systems. He co-founded the global credit team, one of the first teams formed at Thames River, with Bernt Tallaksen who will continue to run the High Income fund and Hillside Apex hedge fund with Mehrdad Noorani.
