Jupiter plans to merge the Emerging Europe Select and New Europe sub-funds in its Luxembourg-domiciled Global Sicav. The two funds, managed by Elena Shaftan and team, will be united to create a £45m vehicle with increased liquidity and reduced total expense ratio, subject to shareholder approval. Jupiter had intended to run the Emerging Europe Select with a small-cap bias, but changed approach as the outlook for less liquid stocks in the region deteriorated amid the recent market turmoil.
