The Dow Jones has charged higher in today's trading, up 1.93% to 8428.17, as home improvement retailer Lowe's beat analysts' profit expectations. Lowe's, which is sensitive to the housing market, was up 6.23% to $19.60 having raised its outlook for the year despite sales falling 1.5%, with chief executive Robert Niblock pointing to improving consumer confidence.
