Both Metlife's chief investment and chief executive officers have left the company following a corporate restructure. The US insurance company's CIO, Lee Launer, has moved to Bridge Point Insurance to take on the same role. He will be responsible for the UK and European pension buy-in and buy-out market focused insurance company's $300bn general account. Meanwhile, Ed Gardner, Metlife's CEO, has been axed and will leave at the end of June. The company has also promoted Dominic Grinstead to UK managing director from his post as strategic development and marketing director.
