Meteor Asset Management has rolled out a FTSE 100-linked plan offering annual income of 7% or monthly income of 0.574%. The six-year product provides capital protection as long as the index does not fall by more than 50% from its opening level on any day during the investment term. If the index were to fall by more than 50% from its opening level and not recover by maturity, capital loss will be commensurate with falls in the index. Income is payable as an offshore dividend, meaning basic-rate taypayers will effectively have nil tax to pay while higher-rate taxpayers will pay 25%. T...
