BlackRock’s BGF China fund, promising to maximise total returns, has launched today. The fund, part of the BlackRock Global Funds umbrella in Luxembourg, invests at least 70% of assets directly in Chinese equities. It is overseen by Nick Scott and will be co-managed by Jing Ning and Alan Wang, based in Hong Kong. “China’s economy has been a remarkable growth story since the 1980s,” said Ning. “Its equity markets have typically been volatile, governed by emotions. “We believe that our disciplined, valuation-driven approach to investing will lead to capital growth in the fund.”
