Midas Capital managers have made their first foray back into the UK property market since 2006 with the purchase of shares in Brixton Estates. Although they will be continuing the cautious stance applied last October into 2008, chief executive and fund manager Simon Edwards said the discounts in some UK property stocks were hard to ignore. “Having sold our UK property at end 2006, we continue to expect downward revaluations.
