Rathbone's Julian Chillingworth is forecasting more pain in the equity markets despite the Fed's 0.75% interest rate cut. The Rathbones CIO said equity markets have finally caught up with their bond market counterparts, and are now factoring in a recession in the US. At the tail end of 2007, Chillingworth was one of the more bearish managers in the retail asset management universe, forecasting the FTSE 100 would drop as low as 5,250 points before rallying back to 6,400.
