Investec’s David Aird has been named head of the group’s institutional and retail business for the UK and Ireland. Aird has been sole MD of the group’s retail division since 2005 and be supported in his widened remit by Frank Doyle, who has been appointed head of UK and Ireland institutional sales, reporting to Aird. He takes over from Mark Samuelson, former head for UK institutional business, who has moved to Sydney to set up an Australian division.
