US markets posted marginal gains in early trading, climbing 0.72 points (0.01%) to 8332.04 as the Federal Reserve revealed industrial production in the States could be stabilising. Experts predict companies may not cut back on manufacturing as deeply this quarter, bolstering consumer confidence. The output of factories, mines and utilities only decreased by 0.5% last month- the slowest drop in the rate for six months.
