The cost of buying into investment trusts is coming down, according to Association of Investment Companies research. Analysis of 239 trusts total expense ratios, based on Lipper figures, reveals 34% are below 1% and 70% are below 1.5%, up from 30% and 67% in March last year. AIC communications director Annabel Brodie-Smith says the numbers are down to falling charges, driven by economies of scale.
