Prudential has reported a sturdy 7.2% return on its with-profits fund during 2007. The Prudential Life Fund added £2.7bn to policy values last year, and reports a 59% increase in fund sales compared to 2006. The group said all Pru endowments will meet repayment targets this year and that the majority of annual bonus rates will increase. Retail life and pensions MD Gary Shaughnessy said: “We are again the number one among our competitors in terms of Life Fund investment returns over 5 and 10 years.”
