A total of 60% of investment advisers in the UK and Europe expect this year's market conditions to be better than 2008, according to the World Gold Council. The council says while 60% of advisers expect investors to be more risk-averse in 2009, 30% perceive the current distressed levels as an investment opportunity. It adds that gold is expected to be the most popular asset class for 2009 as investors continue to search for a safe haven.
