The UK economy mustered no growth in the second quarter for the first time since the early 1990s recession. The Office for National Statistics has revealed quarter on quarter output was flat, revising an earlier estimate of 0.2% growth. The figures have buoyed equity markets with expectations of a Bank of England rate cut in the near future now running high.
