Invesco Perpetual has promoted Michael Matthews to lead manager of the Invesco Sterling Bond fund. He has co-managed the fund alongside head of fixed income Paul Causer and Paul Read since 2006. The group said there would be no change to the fund’s investment objective, which is to achieve a good overall return in the medium to long term. Nor will there be any change to the active management style, with Matthews continuing to work within the UK Fixed Income team. Matthews’ promotion is a natural and logical progression given his experience and involvement with the fund, Causer said.
