Hector Kilpatrick talks about why he began exiting US equities on the group's suite of risk-targeted portfolios 18 months ago, and how the group's early entry into emerging markets in 2015 has paid off.

Cornelian Asset Managers' six-strong range of risk-targeted, multi-asset solutions has seen rapid growth over the past five years. The range - which varies from a Defensive strategy to the risk-on Progressive fund - accounts for two-thirds of the group's £983m AUM, with the six funds having north of £620m between them. Its suite also includes the newly launched SVS Cornelian Managed Income product. CIO Hector Kilpatrick, who joined Cornelian in 2010, hopes further growth for the range in the coming months will help the group's AUM hit £1bn before the end of the year. The success of...
