Marlborough Special Situations and UK Micro Cap Growth manager has moved to cash in anticipation of buying opportunities.

Giles Hargreave is manager of Marlborough’s £399m Special Situations and £57m UK Micro Cap Growth fund, co-manager of its £49m UK Leading Companies and the recently launched £94m Multi Cap Income fund, and CEO of stockbroker Hargreave Hale. His near 40-year career in investment management has stood him in good stead over the current cycle, as he has managed to produce superior returns across portfolios focused on the smaller end of the cap scale.
