When it comes to product innovation, the investment industry’s first instincts have not universally coincided with the needs of its clients but, with many investors now desperate for ways to boost their income, a number of fund groups have stepped up to the plate. Arguably, the most notable recent development in this regard has been the ascent of the global equity income fund, but some providers have been more inventive still.
