In the second part of a conjecture debate on European equities, a panel of experts discuss the opportunities available in European companies and the potential headwinds.

Which countries have disappointed over the last year and why? BlackRock's Alister Hibbert (AH): Most countries in the world have disappointed over the last year. That is in addition to what we are seeing in Europe. If we come up with a relative metric and think which countries have disappointed most, Greece is probably at the top of the table given the appalling disclosure that has come through on their fiscal situation. The rest of the periphery is more varied with Portugal looking quite vulnerable. The efforts we have seen in Spain have been much more heroic and also in Ireland...
